iOS Internship at Fi Money

June 2023 - Aug 2023

During the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of interning on the iOS development team at Fi Money, the largest neo-banking fintech firm in India.

My tasks revolved around using MVVM architecture to craft screens for their new app flow, such as by building animated segment control components, designing collapsible card components, and interfacing with the Apple Calendar. Part of the process also required me to help extend support to over 10,000 users on iOS 14 by integrating custom bottom sheets, adding accessibility identifiers for VoiceOver compatibility, and more.

In terms of back-end work, I also delved into routers to facilitate deep linking across pages and harnessed various custom extensions and protocols. The pivotal aspect was EpiFi's use of Protobufs to bridge the backend and frontend. This was mainly for real-time status updates, and so they could use the money field.

Feel free to watch the video here, demoing the screens that I built and some of the base functions of the app.

Documentation

In order to effectively track my learning, I created a detailed document with the Swift and SwiftUi concepts I covered.

I also built a documentation spreadsheet that includes a weekly list of UI changes, backend, and frontend work I completed.
